2 New Journeys This Morning

Both of these are 9 x 12 on heavy linen paper done alla prima early this morning - big brush - Chroma Interactive acrylics - gusto & spontaneity in a painterly impressionism style.

Perhaps A Squall On The Way

Dense Rookery On The Gulf

Wonderful action in both Richard - Very Nice ! - A Squall is definitely on the way in the 1st.

The changing weather conditions are well featured in your style, therefore I can certainly envisage a triptych of the 1st, including - 'the calm, the squall & the storm' - Just a thought.

Re: 2 New Journeys This Morning

Thanks lots Michael - I shall consider your triptych idea - I like it. Thanks for commenting - it seems most of the members on this forum DO NOT care for painterly impressionism - you would think as artists they would accept any style of art or at least make an attempt to understand it - OH Welllllllllll------------

I'm thinking my journey on Wet Canvas Landscape Forum may be reaching its end.

Nicely done Richard . . . I particularly like the headland in the first.

Love the 4th and 5th crop ... they would make dynamic paintings on their own.

Loads of energy and a lot of depth and light in the second one in particular. Quite a joyous feel.

There's a great stormy feel to these - lots of movement in the clouds and action. I like them!
