Skulls in ink

Posting my first thread here, sharing some animal skulls i´ve been doing.











Tell me what you think, and if you-ve some tips on ink sketching.

You have a good variation of mark-making so just keep practising what you're already doing!

Thx Old Crone and Charlies Mum

I used a reference photo for each one so I could test some new ink nibs i bought recently, the backgrounds are from imagination from what i thought the surroundings of the animals would be.

I used a Speedball Ink, and experimented with Speedbal ink nibs 100 Artist, 102 Crow quill, 103 Mapping, 104 Finest and 107 Hawk Quill.

I don´t like using markers, they´re really expensive here in Brazil.

You got very nice and even coloring with them , it takes quite some skill to do that...
