Ari Cat from life

Ari Cat Dozing
7" x 10"
Pencil, watercolor and white gel pen
Stillman & Birn Beta journal, 180lb rough watercolor paper, white.
Painted from life. Yes, he moved and wiggled and changed position, ran around the room and made things difficult. I still got him from life. The fast pencil gesture was what helped most but I got the colors of his fur and shape of his markings from a moving target.

Lovely!

Tried a sketch of my dog once, but she wouldn't keep still either!

Like the touches with white gel pen, great idea for whiskas and things.
