It's Tuesday 5/22

Good morning everyone. I have an appointment with a chiropractor this morning. Never been to one - ever - but my neck has been bugging me for a while now and I'm tired of the pain. My massage therapist has worked on it a bit but I only see her once a month so I'll see what the "bone cracker" has to say.
Hoping to melt some glass this afternoon.
Enjoy. Ciao

Re: It's Tuesday 5/22

Morning all!

Ellen......Randy and I had never been to a chiropractor either. I will admit we always kind of snickered and figured people were flushing lot's of $$$ with the entire thing. But, last fall when Randy got so bad he got desperate and our SIL got him an appt with his Dr. It took a few appts, things don't get fabulous overnight. Be patient and it can be a God send! This time around it took 2 days and Randy was back to the Dr. and he is already seeing improvement! Good Luck and I hope you get some relief from the neck pain!

Another sunny day and blue skies here with temps in the low 70's! My idea of perfect!!! later this morning hubby and I will be heading to Xavier's preschool and having lunch with him. It is his next to last day there and they will be having an award ceremony. Wouldn't miss that for anything!!

I haven't heard from Todd and the internet didn't cooperate the last time we tried to chat. I am waiting to chat with Erin, but if the powers that be didn't change everything he and his buddies have headed out to do what has to be done. I know you all are keeping in your thoughts and prayers. For that I am so thankful!!

OK, off to grab some coffee and let the dogs in from their morning romp! Have a good one! Almost forgot....Ellen in answer to yesterdays? We are waiting on the govt. for Heathers house. They are getting a R&D mortgage. It is called a Rural Development Mortgage. Which is for people purchasing home in smaller rural towns! They are down to their final approval and then will close a few days after. They went that way because the payments are way lower (no PMI for the loan) the govt. covers that, but that just means more hoops to jump through!! They are hoping to close before Memorial Day weekend, but it could end up the first of next week. We all know how federal things go!!!

Morning ~ Ellen, hope the choirpractor as we call them, helps. I've never been either but.... I don't discount any forms of relieving pain.

Dilly ~ Just to warn you.... we will see probably 93 degrees today... What???? It's only May...

Have a friend coming over today and we are going to play with the new ring system.... making cabs that screw onto rings and other things :-) Then to our Rocky Mountain Flamworker's meeting tonight.

Oh, and clean the bathroom, vacuum and neaten up the studio.... off I go....

Re: It's Tuesday 5/22

Leslie.....Yah, the weathermen informed us of those temps for the Holiday Weekend! The AC is up and running, so I am prepared. I really want to see the ringy thingy you are talking about. Sounds very cool. Enjoy the melting of glass, cleaning house and hanging with glassy buds! Sounds like a great day!

I chatted with Erin a few minutes ago. It is confirmed Todd and his buddies are out and about and we don't expect to hear from him until they return safe and sound!! For some reason this one has me on edge and I am not liking it one bit! But, lots of stuff going on around here, so hopefully that will keep my mind off it! I am prepared and lots of tissues all around the house, I seem to get leaky pipes a lot!

Have a wonderful day everyone!

Re: It's Tuesday 5/22

Morning everyone.

Ellen hope you do well with the chiropractor. Like Dilly said, it usually takes a couple of "adjustments" to get things corrected. A good chiropractor can make you feel great. Really helped my DW out when she had problems with her shoulder.

Dilly good luck to them on their mortgage. The gov programs always seem to make everything about 10 times harder than they need to be.

Leslie that ring system sounds interesting. May have to look it up. More out of curiosity than anything else. Always neat to see how inventive people can be.

The girl scouts in my daughter's group all got to make paperweights and flowers last night. I think they all had a good time. We ran two benches with an instructor on each, and I went over some of tech side of the glass work. Kept it short and simple, and they asked some questions along the way. After we were done there some of the mothers asked to go over to look at the chandelier sculpture, so the kids all got to go up and down several flights of stairs looking at the piece.
Well off to get some work done, and then back to the studio tonight. This is the off week between class sets so several of us take time to make pieces, or to make raw stock to use later. Tonight I think I will make another fish.

Have a good one

Carlos

Re: It's Tuesday 5/22

Morning All.

Ellen, good luck with the bone cracker. I've never tried one, but I have an uncle that swears by his chiropractor. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Dilly, you enjoy those low temps. We are supposed to be up to 99 by Saturday! That's just not right for May! I'm sorry you didn't get to talk to Todd again before he left. You are right though, we are keeping him in thoughts and prayers. Your boy will be fine. hugs.

Leslie, I wish I could come to your play day. Have fun with your ring toppers.

Carlos, you are a brave man to do hot glass with girl scouts! Don't think my nerves could've handled it. Glad it all went well.

This kids are both out of school. This is their first day home together. Danny had a migraine yesterday and during the night, so I'm hoping he wakes up feeling better. His medicine was changed about 6 weeks ago and it has seemed to really help. The headaches are fewer and shorter duration so maybe he will have a good day.

Hope all of you have good things in front of you today!

Beth
