Vladimir Kovalyov, here is one of his paintings.
June 29, 2016 at 6:48 pm #1253737Very nice! Thanks for sharing George.
If you're asking me for advice, I'm going to assume that you've run out of rational options.
My work on FacebookJune 29, 2016 at 6:55 pm #1253946LOVE Kovalyov and followed for some time now!

June 29, 2016 at 11:18 pm #1253780The Russian painters seem to paint very nice floral scenes.
July 3, 2016 at 10:39 am #1253781Here is an artist whose work I saw on FB today: Vladimir Zhdanov (Russian)
I’m thinking of just putting all the artists I share in this thread, hopefully a style that I strongly attracted to will emerge, and my fellow artists here will help me figure out me.

July 4, 2016 at 4:47 pm #1253746Some nice work. Do you like the artist Liu Maoshan, George?
July 4, 2016 at 6:03 pm #1253783Ianuk, I do now! Thank you for sharing! I most like his work that strays away from cityscape. Is it mostly watercolor?
Artist: Liu Maoshan
July 4, 2016 at 6:17 pm #1253747Mostly it’s Chinese ink. The style of his work is what I like. I think artists at times are too set in ways about the use of mediums. I see no reason why oil can’t be used like watercolour and vice versa. I see in your posts over a period how you’re looking for your niche/style, what makes it all worthwhile for you and I notice how it changes from each painting you post. I also know how difficult it is to find the right path to reach the destination where you’re happy to settle.
July 4, 2016 at 8:14 pm #1253784Yes, I love that you are open minded. My family thinks everything has to be a certain way, by a certain person, on a certain day. In my mind, outside of the law, there should be no rules.
The search for me has not been easy, and is a long way from being over, but I think being a painter is as much about the before and the after of painting. More and more I am falling in love with knife work, and old and decrepit settings with a zing of color.

Autumn is my favorite time of the year. Usually around August I’m looking for the first signs of Halloween in the retail stores. My wife looks for Halloween-themed Debby cakes for me.
July 6, 2016 at 11:31 am #1253933I really like that one by Slava Korolenkov. Wow.
