3.5×5 watercolor on Fluid 140 lb cold press paper done in less than 45 minutes, for current Weekend Drawing Event/AMAE forum. Love the cranes reference by host KolinskyRed as we have them here by the thousands on their merry way in the skies. Big Spring is one of their stopover spots. They are huge birds and you can’t miss their loud calls or their formation overhead. I got pretty close to them earlier in the year for some great photos. A third bird was added for balance as the ref had only two birds.

October 17, 2018 at 3:48 pm #712021Lovely Kay. I bought the Fluid paper block but I’m not sure it’s the same as the one you have. Mine is Fluid watercolor paper, 140lb. block. How do you like it for painting?

October 19, 2018 at 11:04 am #712019Lil, mine is also a block. I tore its edge trying to separate a sheet and thus had to cut it up in small pieces. Perfect for minis, though! It is okay. Not spectacular as it does not lift very well, but has good texture and tooth.
