Can anyone throw some light on this subject please: Painting with Oil/Acrylic over Digitally printed canvas. Although I have done this successfully, I find hard to cover the digital print where colors like yellows and reds are present because most oil colr reds and yellows are transparent. Any ideas to deal with this. Thanks.

Paint the areas white first. I often do that when painting with acrylics.

First of all you should use gesso, I find clear gesso perfect for this kind of work. Oil paints are not all transperent , for example cadmium yellows and reds are not transparent.
            Hope this helps,

Use true candmium yellows and reds, not “cadmium hue” colors–those use dyes to simulate true cadmiums and are not as opaque. Alzarian Crimson and Lemon Yellow will always be somewhat transparent so don’t use those if you want opacity. Mix a little bit of white with the colors to make them more opaque.

Us a layer of acrylic medium over the print to seal it before you start to paint.
