This is Portrait of a Condottiero by Artemisia Gentileschi, 1622!

Hi all,
sorry for the delay, message posting was not working, I don´t know if the problem was here or at WC.
Hi Katherine: the link to Artemisia´s portrait is:
http://www.wga.hu/frames-e.html?/htm.../condotti.html
I had seen the painting in a film about Artemisia. Do you know she was the first female artist of the renaissance to receive a comission for a painting?
Hi Nancy: wow, the Joe Manning´s one is beautiful! I imagine it must be built slowly, layer by layer, what a luminous effect!
OK, back to business: next one is from the same period, also by a disciple Cravaggio´s:

Nancy, love that Joe Manning portrait - beautiful!

Off to look for Osmar's now. That clue should give me some good leads .

Correction on the info: the artist did not study under Caravaggio, but his style had a strong influence from Caravaggio. He studied actually with Carraci.

No problem, Osmar.

You just sent me on a wild goose chase , lol! Mind you, I'm very grateful for the clues, because otherwise I would not get any of these.

Okay, this is Guido Reni, Fille avec une fleur (girl with a flower).
