canít add enough pink right?

18 in x 22 in spray and acrylic paint on canvas. comments and critiques welcomed and thanks for viewing. made this interactive with the rain. the painting really took on a life of its own with the platters that landed on the canvas. taking into mind all the comments from you all this past month and a 1/2.. still struggling with weight issues .. still think it looks better in a mirror image.. and thinking about the misty shapes Iíve made on larger works and how I can incorporate the style onto smaller surfaces.. thanks for all the feedback!

The pink is there, yay! Agree that addition of black makes it heavier at the bottom.

Re: canít add enough pink right?

Feels very dark and menacing to me... It definitely isnít no pretty in pink, but more like the pink coming from the reflected glow of the cherries of a police car coming onto a crime scene in a dark alley inner city type thing. Not sure if that was intentional but I get a definite vibe and it is cool. I would see this hanging in an underground club of some sort!

Re: canít add enough pink right?

I like a lot of this piece and think you can work through the weight of the black in a series of layers.
Going over it with white, either thin or thick layers depending on how
much dimension you want, and then heading back in with your pinks could be interesting.

It is actually quite difficult to scale abstracts down to a small size, whilst keeping the energy there - at least it is for me. I know because I do it a lot to give myself a challenge. I think that you should keep going on this. It has a lot of possibilities.

The newly added pink really jazzes it up, Ted, but the man's face does not, lol!
