Re: Portrait from a digital photo without tracing

I appreciated this thread and how my computer and PSP can finally get some use once again.

I have spent the better part of the day with a photo and finding out what all my options are. I have a few things saved to a folder and now I need to see if I can find this Landmark Mapping or something similar to it...
There may be hope for me yet. I have only been painting for a couple of months, but my goal is to paint a portrait by the end of 2014..

I had never considered than the center line shifts at the end of the nose! I have always had trouble getting the mouth centered with the nose, on faces at oblique angles! Fishbait

Re: Portrait from a digital photo without tracing

What an excellent way to transfer a photo without tracing! Where has this method been all my life! And thanks for explaining the value difference. I am currently working on a portrait where the composition and facial expression are great, but the values are too similar and yes, the portrait is boring and now I know why. Thanks!
