Re: RESIZING AND UPLOADING your PICTURES

Sorry it took so long to reply, on this I have Windows 7, and am using Safari. I tried IE too and still the same.

Does this look clear?

Yes it looks fine to me. There is not much depth of field so the background is blurred, but that is down to the camera settings.

Re: RESIZING AND UPLOADING your PICTURES

Yup that part was intentional. I wasn't going to get too close to take that.
It still looks fuzzy to me, maybe it's my screen, rats I had hoped not.
Thanks Doug!

Re: RESIZING AND UPLOADING your PICTURES

I have Windows 7 and have no problem uploading files. However, when I try to upload an image from my computer to use as my avatar, I always get a message reading "Unable to save avatar." This occurs whether I have resized the image to 60 X 60 pixels or not. How then can I upload an image for my avatar?

Unfortunately the avatar uploader has been out of action for nearly a year. You have to choose one of the standard avatars.

Sounds like your cookie storage is full Giancarlo. Clear your temporary browser files to make space for the wercanvas cookie.

I don't understand Charles, it shouldn't make any difference.

Re: RESIZING AND UPLOADING your PICTURES

For Mac users, and there are two camps here--those who like the 'Photos' app and those who don't (me). I use the third party "lightweight image browser", 'Lyn'.

It has generous editing 'filters' ("non-destructive editing"--your changes last forever, but they don't overwrite the original if you don't hit "Save", and when you do, it is really "Save As", so chances of overwriting the original are slim.).

There is a 'Batch convert' feature (under 'Tools') that allows you to resize and relocate a copy of any number of pics at once. Lyn thinks like I do. So you can skip the heavy editing apps. I really think Lyn is an indispensable tool for traditional visual artists.

I am not connected or remunerated in any way. I just love the app--it is a big time-saver for me.
