I like it the way it is personally. It's not photorealistic and I'm not sure how realistic you were going for, but I really love the painting style and the character it gives the painting. I also really like the inclusion of so many sunflowers in the background. It's a painting I could see myself hanging in a bright living room. (if I had one haha)

LeahPaintsPonies - Thanks for your input. I was attempting to show the rolling hills of sunflowers in the background. I think it works. (I am working on getting more realism in my paintings. (3 years into painting now) Have started taking down previous works and redoing certain parts. Some I correct, some I ruin... part of learning. Thanks again for your help.

No need to make the stems larger. As was already noted, you are not going for photorealism. Besides, how many of us know how thick a sunflower stem should be? Composition is very good.
