Re: What movies are great for artistic inspiration?
Someone here has already mentioned Tarkovski, and I would recommend another of his films, "Stalker", it's an amazing journey through intricate paths of art, science and religion. I think it's totally inspiring not only as an artist, as a person I found it totally uplifting. Mind Tarkovki's style is very slow, but to me is pure poetry in motion, but it won't be everyone's cup of tea.
I also enjoy nature documentaries and find them inspirational for my artwork. I'd recommend BBC series "Planet Earth", or any of David Attenborough's series.
