Another moo cow

As a die hard plein air painter I feel guilty drawing from photos...that being said, cows don't hold still and this was a fun few days of work.

The image uploader wasn't working, so I hosted on my server.

Progressive. This is when it really starts to get fun. The cow almost starts to breath and I'm just along for the ride.

My setup

Great texture and focus on the nose. Very appealing.

Re: Another moo cow

Thanks. The nose seemed to hold the entire personality of the cow, and it was the only thing in focus in my photo. I initially thought it would be impossible to draw the dimples, but patience kicked in. Surprised myself.

Re: Another moo cow

interesting that you do your ink work vertically rather than on a slope board or drafting table... fine work, too..........
