Happy new year to all.
As mentioned previously I plan on using acrylic ink over my pen drawings and see where it goes.
Perhaps it’s more like a watercolour, watermedia or an illustration and not traditional pen and ink.
Whatever the case may be I’ll leave it to the forum to decide if it’s suitable to post here in the future otherwise I’m more than happy to move on.
cheers, Shane.

January 7, 2018 at 8:06 pm #541186Oh, those are gorgeous Shane! I especially like the 2nd; I feel I would love to walk along that quiet path.
Are you painting with ink, or applying it with a nib?
C&C always welcomeJanuary 7, 2018 at 8:52 pm #541175Thanks Loganart, the ink is applied with a brush, similar to watercolours.

January 7, 2018 at 9:34 pm #541172I’ll just say that I’m speechless….
But before I forget, please vote here if you want Shane to upload a full length video of him doing whatever it is he does (both the black and white part and of course the color) !!!! :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:
January 7, 2018 at 10:49 pm #541181I second the response, this is quite a refreshing take on using colored ink. Luscious, in a word. I think it belongs here; you created black ink drawings that stand on their own, and added other kinds of ink to finish them. How would that *not* belong here?

January 8, 2018 at 8:13 am #541163There’s more than enough penwork to qualify Shane – and it’s also in ink!
The drawings are so beautifully done – your organisation of ‘clutter’ (for want of a better expression) is so good – meticulous.
I’m thinking you might get more adventurous with colour as you do these (accepting that the forest subjects will be overwhelmingly green!!!)
Cheers, Maureen

While predominantly green there are other hidden colours. It would help if I had more inks though, they are not cheap.

January 9, 2018 at 10:16 am #541182well done…I like that colours are not dominant in that they work with the pen work and are in harmony with it.

January 11, 2018 at 2:03 pm #541184I am digging how these have turned out, so keep them coming and you are on the right patch clearly.
January 13, 2018 at 11:21 am #541161I like the variety of green shades in the second one. Did you blend anything into the green ink? Or is it different green inks?
