oil paint pallet question

I have a wooden pallet, about 11" X 17" that I need to transport between home and class. I also need to keep the paints on it soft.
Anybody been able to find an airtight container that size? I looked all over the web, and checked out Fred Meyer, but couldn't fined one.

I have a 12X16 oval wooden palette that fits in my Masterson box. Sometimes I've just wrapped it in Saran wrap when done painting, to transport home, then stick it in the freezer. Sometimes I use glass or palette paper in the Masterson box when out of my own studio. But most often, when I paint out, I use this:



And it folds up to just 6X14":


Initially I only used it for plein air painting, but it is so convenient, so easy to transport, and carries so many colors, that I started bringing it to open studio as well. You can get these holbein-type watercolor palettes at www.jerryscatalog.com. They have the very large ones like mine. The ones I've seen elsewhere are smaller.

I have several similar pallets that I use for my watercolors, but I hadn't thought about using a plastic one for oils. I'll give it a try.

Oh....I don't know if you can use a plastic one for oils. This one is metal (enamel-coated).
