Re: January 2018 Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat!
My choice for the Fantasy and Science Fiction is an old Donovan song covered by Joan Jett awhile back. (My choice for the acrylic sub forum is by The Hollies) I'll be starting on both of these this weekend. I have a couple of horror things to finish by Friday, first though.....spreading my filth throughout the internet. .

I have a list of songs. I keep getting sidetracked on listening binges.

Bill there are great groups after the Beatles.
The Beatles were a thing all unto themselves.
However there are many amazing works after them!
I'm going to do a Rush song or maybe two.
Rush is so amazing, it almost makes me wish I was Canadian.
Oh, Woody I did once make a One Eyed, One Horned, Flying Purple People Eater cake, the wings were a bit tricky. I wish I had a photo of that one.

lol Yeah, a lot of today's music is annoying. Some songs are okay. My son always wants Hits 1 when we're in a vehicle. I still prefer 80s music. In high school I liked the hair bands but now I go back further to bands like Duran Duran, Tears for Fears, etc. I also like classical, it goes well with landscapes.
I have no musical talent, too clumsy. I did like singing in school, and still do when no one is listening.
lol Dianna.
Boom boom boom, I can't stop singing this bloody tune tune tune...

Michelle are you old enough to remember the Irish Rovers TV show on the CBC? That was a great music/sketch show.
Talisman, we'll give you honary Canadian status if you promise to pronounce about and foyer properly and wear a toque. Should wear a toque anyway, it's pretty chilly out. Geddy Lee was in the same class as my cousin. Both his parents had survived the concentration camps. I saw an interview with his Mom many years ago and it stuck with me, what a lady.

Wow Virginia thanks for the info on Getty Lee. Very interesting.
Is a toque a scarf or a hat?

Oh, yeah. I asked Susie. She says, "It's a hat, sometimes like the airline stews used to wear, but mostly knit like when you go skiing. Pom-poms optional." She's better than Wikipedia.

uhhh....no
All though both Sam the Sham(LITTLE RED RIDING HOOD) and Warron Zevon (WEREWOLVES OF LONDON) crossed my mind, I let that imagery pass..... I'm painting a big wolf for another website so I let them go.
For this Fantasy and Science Fiction challenge, I'm doing SEASON OF THE WITCH. I say that because my doodle drawing on my Gesso covered Masonite looks pretty cool (hubris alert!!!) so I'm sticking with it.
I'm doing LONG COOL WOMAN IN A BLACK DRESS (by The Hollies)for the acrylic sub forum.
Christ, I'm stuck in the sixties.

Looks like everyone is having fun picking songs.
I was hoping for that.
Woody good choices! I'm looking forward to both of them.

I kind of remember the Irish Rovers. For some reason I just thought of Frank Mills. Too bad my old music box doesn't have the dancer in it anymore lol.
Always loved his version of the 12 days of Christmas. And guess what? Yes, it's on YouTube. I swear you can find almost anything there.

Nope, Peter, Paul and Mary. Though I did think of "Norwegian Wood"
