Great!
I really like all the textures and shapes.
Reminds me of "Fantastic Voyage" or "Inner Space".

Beautiful work!

If you don't mind a bit of advise, the suit is so starkly black and white against the colorful background, I would put some color reflections on it.

Funny you should mention that. Just the other day I was looking at it and thought the same thing. I did put some green on his boots and lower legs that would be reflecting off the orbs, and a little color around the helmet, but should have carried it over to the whole suit. Too late now as it's already varnished. This was an exhausting painting to do. I probably rushed it towards the end just to be finished. Oh well. Good eye catching that.

I would do the same thing, some paintings are just begging to be varnished! I have one of my grandmother that I'm doing, I had to put it away because I'm mad at it and I know I'll finish it too soon!

It still looks pretty cool though because the starkness does give a sort of 3D effect.

the stark white, as well as the hard edges does give him a very "floaty" appearance.

Re: So Very Far From Home - Pic Heavy

The astronaut is from an old NASA press photo my wife bought at a yard sale years ago. The other mixed media mess is from about 30 years ago. Made with colored pencils, india ink and an empty pen casing, acrylic and probably gauche paints, pencil and spray paint with something for a stencil. I used the screen off my Edelbrock air cleaner one time, but I can't remember what I used here.

Yes, that's my palette...

The bubble dark hole perspective and life line are spot on. So many things to ponder nice work.
