new work first post

Hi everyone, I thought I would share a couple of my animal pictures with you. CC welcome. The first is pastel and the second is watercolour.

Re: new work first post

awwwwwwwwwww love them both. They are both very soft looking but good detail. I do wonder if the dog wouldnt have looked better on a darker background. Maybe a darker blue on the left side fading out on the right. Just a thought.

thank you Laurie, I agree the dog would have looked better on a darker background but the owner insisted it was on a cream/neutral background to match everything else in her home.

Nice work, I especially like the use of white space in the second one.

Beautiful work! I absolutely love the eyes on both of these, and your use of color is fantastic!

Re: new work first post

Love the dog one best! He has that "lofty" look, LOL! My Lhasa Apso gets that same look, lol... only right now you can't see it well because he has to go to the groomer's
Nice work, will like to see more!!

I love both pics but especially love the cat I do love that loose style of watercolour painting and I'm feeling really inspired.
