Didn't like the wave, so here's an updated version.

Re: Feeding a friend

Very nice! I actually kind of liked the first wave better, it competed less with the main characters in terms of colour.

What program are you using?

Re: Feeding a friend

Your usual Superb Work.
Now, about adjusting after the finish - Remember it takes 2 to paint an image - The first to paint it, The second to tell the first when to stop.
My first-year Acrylic Teacher said words to this effect; to make us aware of when to let go.

Re: Feeding a friend

Thanks guys, I felt that the wave needed some volume, was too flat.
Skylar, even after 30 some years I still return to some paintings to try to perfect. But your right, the great Artists know when to retreat

Hans - Thanks for referring to my words. I say this only because after some 50 years, I still recall my prof's admonishment. Unfortunately, Sometimes, I quit a bit too soon...

Re: Feeding a friend

I think a lot of us don't know when to stop lol.
The great thing about wetcanvas is being able to get different views from other artists.

Re: Feeding a friend

Beautifully painted. I like both waves although I might like the second a little more.

I'm another one who doesn't always know when to stop. One nice thing about digital is that you can just your mind and go back (if you don't wait too long).

Re: Feeding a friend

I accidentally posted the same message twice. It didn't appear to be working, then made up for lost time!
