Drowning

MY IMAGE(S):

GENERAL INFORMATION:
Title: Drowning
Year Created:
Medium: Watercolor
Surface: Watercolor Paper
Dimension: 11x16
Allow digital alterations?: Yes!

MY COMMENTS:
Hair and lower portion just roughly blocked. I wanted to define the face a little more before spending time on those areas. Left eye is giving me some trouble not sure where I went wrong.

Also I'll include the drawing and first wash for greater insight.

MY QUESTIONS FOR THE GROUP:
Tips on edge control as well as controlling values intuitively in watercolor specifically would be greatly appreciated.

Re: Drowning

I would go dark on the painting, right to give it a masterful look, eye doesnt bother me, (surprised)? I'm assuming the drowning is metaphorical.

Re: Drowning

Great start. Compare the lid sizes, easy fix.
