Lightbulb My new painting “Peace reigns kindness?...The death knell for the horse.”

Hi there!

During last half of a year I was working seriously on my new painting named “Peace reigns kindness?..."The death knell for the horse.”
Now it’s finished and I would like to show it on Wetcanvas.

Description in a short.
The painting shows the centuries of humiliation of man over the horse. Here: the invasion of the Tatars; and knight of the Middle Ages; and civil wars; and the eerie spectacle of bullfighting for the amusement of the people; and betting on horse racing; and training of horses through its beating; slaughter of horses for meat ... And all this through violence and killing of horses that are taking place in the civilized world.
In the upper right corner - the falling broken bell symbolizes the death knell for the horse. In the center of paintings generalized image of tortured crippled horse. Upstairs on the central part is me, the author of the painting horrified by the acts of man.

I am very waiting for your comments and critique.

“Peace reigns kindness ? ... " The death knell for the horse.”
oil on canvas, 2,68x2,30 m (108x92 in.) 2016

Very powerful. Very disturbing.

Not what I was expecting under Inspirational. This area gets little traffic. Perhaps you might post it where more people would see it.

Wow, you are very talented. This painting can't just be looked at quickly to be appreciated. It needs to be studied. Well done!

This is epic! I see Bosch, Dürer and Michelangelo influence. I can see all the work you put into it. Bravo!

Thumbs up Re: My new painting “Peace reigns kindness?...The death knell for the horse.”

This is great work. I can see your inspiration in this piece. The many industries using animals, even people for human amusement with no regard for another living beings' right to live and thrive peacefully. No empathy or kindness. This would take to me to digest fully.

.This is a masterpiece. Seems like the culmination of a life's work! The theme is captivating and sad. This piece pulled me right in. You are a fine draftsman and the composition is creative and so well done. I agree, it deserves to get many long views. Thanks for sharing.

I agree with Crystal, it might be better received in another forum. An amazing amount of work.
