Labrador Retrievers x posted from pastels

I haven't posted anything in a very long time. Last year I suffered from carpal tunnel and just couldn't paint. I finally got tired of it and had the surgery. So relieved. LOL In more ways than one. Anyway, this is the first piece I have finished since I recovered from the surgery. Still time for some adjustments, so C&C is welcome.
These three Labs belong to my good friend and pro trainer. It is a gift for her.

I am glad you are recovering from your surgery Katherine. Was the op on your dominant hand?? I love this painting. Delightful dogs and good work on the grasses.

I am glad to know you are all right and your carpal tunnel surgery was obviously successful. I'd say you are back in the swing. This is so well done, each dog is distinct and wonderful on its own.

I am sure your friend will be quite happy!

Terry

Re: Labrador Retrievers x posted from pastels

Thanks everyone, for all the great feedback!

No, it was my secondary hand, but it is amazing what all you use it for, even when painting and it got so that trying to grasp anything made it numb. I had the dominant hand done some years back.

What I like best about this piece is the color scheme. The dead fall grasses look so good with yellow Labs, even the really dark yellow ones. I punched up the color as the photos were high contrast. It was lots of fun and my friend loved it!
