just painting my wall, but....

its in my studio. I'm re-doing my set up to allow a better framing area, so I can do framing for others as well as my own. my walls were a soft dove grey, but the new easel area is a tad dark, light doesn't get into that corner as much, so I painted the 2 facing walls a vanilla, eggshell.

well, looks so darned good, I am seriously thinking to just paint the one other wall. but I'm down to a half gallon, just not enough. I have acrylic enamel, and white primer. my half gallon is eggshell latex. can I do any mix n matching here?? please?? I want this done tomorrow, and really dont' want to have to spend any more on this project.

i figured you all here would know more about this mixing or not than anywhere else. TIA!!

Yup, as long as the enamel is an acrylic then you're good to go. I mix paints all the time.

If you were wanting the same color and sheen that might be a little difficult to get it exactly the same (especially after it dries).

Re: just painting my wall, but....

one was too flat, one was too glossy, but the mixture was juuuust right! I also mixed in a glop of yellow ochre, as it was too cold too.

now my studio is a lovely vanilla color. I LOVE it. I am trying to get into some more framing, so had to swap my frame room and studio. oy! doesn't sound too hard, does it? not like I moved across the state or anything but wow, I'm bushed. only one small area yet to go, and I'm set. and my 'new' studio is so inviting its pretty hard to work when that room is there, just itching to be used!

thanks for the info!~
