Song In the Night

It's been so long since I have been on wetcanvas! Sadly, because of other committments, obligations, and situations, my artistry mostly went on hold.

I've been battling metastatic cancer for about 8 years now, and am very thankful to still be here! Its not been an easy journey, but if there is one thing I have learned, no matter how dark the night season is, God always has a song of hope in the breeze. Sometimes I must sit silently, like this scruffy alley cat and just wait and watch for it. But it will come.

Recently, as my strength has waned and I can do few things for myself anymore, I have discovered I can lay a board of gessoed masonite on my lap in the recliner and paint for hours on end. I hadn't painted for ten years, and had little experience, but this has been very good for me.

I love cats... the way they silently wait and are mesmerized by even the smallest things around them... the things that others miss.

I hope you enjoy this painting.

May God bless you.

Beautiful painting. Keep painting more of these and I shall pray for your good health. Art, I believe is a form of meditation. It keeps you busy for hours and in the end when your work finally completes, it brings you so much happiness. It is a great feeling, always.

Isaiah 30:29 You will have a song, as in the night when a holy feast is kept; and you will be glad in heart, as when they go with music of the pipe to the mountain of the Lord, the Rock of Israel. (American Standard Version)

May this verse bless you: a lovely detailed painting!
