Jezurus, the watertower is looking great, as are the clouds.

Jezurus, I love how straight your lines are especially on the road. Do you use a guide or is it all by hand?

Not on my easel - I don't own one and I finished this already, but this is the painting I did today. 30cm x 40cm

Wow, that is a beautiful painting, you can feel the innocence and how huge the ocean must look to her!

Thanks Becca, I am working to play down the areas that aren't the main interest, ( trying to remember ever thing I've crammed in my head in the last few months!) The roads I taped off Jules.

I more or less finished Lilith:
Might be a few color corrections to do here and there, but for now I'm going to declare victory and beat a hasty retreat. I'll post her to Oil Painting and The Figure.

Re: What's On Your Easel?....August 2012
Really nice work Eliza, great use of the purples, and very nice completion llawrence, you have captured the highlights and defined the edges perfectly. There has been some awesome work here lately.
I took this picture with the painting upside down on the canvas, then rotated it because the bottom is drying, but it gives you an overall idea.
I used a reference photo vaguely, but changed most of it. I'm not very good at painting from photos, so I find I do better when winging it.
This is a commissioned painting, but probably the last commission I will do for a while, as I prefer being able to adventure for myself and sell them later if I want to. I feel like commissions sometimes make me lose the enjoyment of it.
This will be my next canvas, a mini steel shield, primed with galvanized paint:
