Three days ago, my husband and I went to the Zoo Ecomuseum in Montreal where we go from time to time. It’s a zoo that only houses indigenous fauna that could not be rehabilitated for the wild. They have wonderful environments for them and the animals are very well taken care of.

I was very lucky to be able to take good photos of the canids, who are often hidden in their big enclosures and usually hard to see. If you are interested, I posted my favourite pictures of the fox, wolves and coyote on the RIL so that everyone can use them as reference photos 😊
Here is the little 3-legged fox I painted in oil pastels (Mungyo Gallery Artist, Sennelier and some Caran d’Ache) on Sennelier oil pastel card 9×12”. I hope you enjoy!

Robert – Unfortunately I really don’t think all zoos have changed. I like this one but it’s an outlier, at least here.

My Blog/WIP's and Tips: Chammi's Art EscapadesMay 24, 2018 at 4:36 am #626487I enjoy! Where I was born and raised they had an epidemic of rabies and the numerous foxes were decimated.
May 24, 2018 at 12:26 pm #626484Very nicely done, Virginie!
