RED CHILIES - Still life

RED CHILIES - Oil Painting on canvas 35x25cm, using primary colors: titanium white, cadmium yellow, cadmium red, ultramarine blue. Used several flat brushes.. First time, trying to paint expressively with oil, consider it as my another experiment. I think I will do some vegetable series more.. At first I think I need larger, broader brush stroke, but this one what I find work best for me..

C&C are welcome..

Interesting! Sort of expressive of the fiery burst of hot chile pepper flavor.

Haha, Armada, that's funny! I was in Jogjakarta once and accidentally chewed on an explosive chili pepper, I was seated under a tarp, along the side of a building on a long bench in the middle of dozens of other men... I couldn't get up from the table in time before my chili mouthful ended up right back in the plate... my whole digestive system emphatically rejected that single bite... very hot those Javanese peppers!

I studied classical music in Jogjakarta back then.. Food is sweet but good! I kinda agree with you about spicy food! I was ordering nasi goreng (fried rice) in front of my church and i ordered without chilli! But the seller (old mam) didnt hear me right and added 10 CHILLIES! ARRRGGGHH you can imagine the rest of the story!
