What most impresses me here is the hair. You’ve struck the right balance between emphasizing the basic shapes and emphasizing the details.

Here is the palette:
[ATTACH]870905[/ATTACH]

I mixed some PR170 (napthol red) with Ultramarine Blue to make a dark violet (almost black) colour. In thick layers this was fine, but was only semi-transparent when painted thinly. This was a bit of a problem since I was painting in one layer on a white panel. Still, I’ll know for next time I need an opaque black.

The other 5 shades were just mixed with titanium white to get various values along the range. This mix did make a lovely violet-blue
