Thanks everyone, so much appreciate the responses. Its a nice departure, (though short for sure as I go back and forth), from my plein air and landscapes.

I love painting portraits, and would to paint live subjects but up here in the far northwoods of Wisconsin its a little challenging finding any that would sit to be painted. So so far from the scope of their experiences to the point it would be odd for them.

I really like how nothing is lost in areas of dark value yet it still looks like bright sunlight is coming from the upper left. It's what my smart phone tries to do in an HDR photo and even with an artificial intelligence chip (really!) can't quite pull off. So very well done!
