Date Night

11x14, Oil on Linen Panel

First time setting up a still life. Took me 3 days painting around the toddlers, but finally got it done today with the wife home.

Larger pic in case WC is constraining it

Re: Date Night

Revelation! I'm such a stupid...

I've been bemoaning that I haven't been able to start painting in oil since the cats get into everywhere. Yet seeing your pegboard I'm suddenly hit with a brick that I can setup my still life studio space in my basement workshop. There's no dust, it's cool year-round ....and the cats aren't allowed in the basement. Bhamhawker, your pegboard suddenly-reminded me of my workbench down there. And I can control the light better down there than on my back porch, just rig-up some CR-lights.

Re: Date Night

It is a beautiful still life filled with dramatic design.

So glad Ted you had an ah-ha moment and can now set up a basement studio. My cats get into anything and everything also.

Re: Date Night

I'm glad the pegboard gave you a lightbulb moment! It works great for me on my easel wall. I need to figure out a way to get a more expansive still life space now though.
