Re: The Spotlight - March 2010
Here is the last of the underpaintings, I had done. It is 6.5 x 8.5 inches on wallis paper with an watercolour crayon underpainting. As you can tell, I wasn't satisfied with the "finished" sketch and took it one step farther with a colour shaper. Not including the underpainting time, it took about 45 minutes. A variety of softies.

Wonderful piece Terri! It looks like a gust of wind came up and hit that tree! Great movement! I also like the colors you used in the underpainting. The fushia is wonderful with orange.

Re: The Spotlight - March 2010
Hi everyone, once again I'd like to congratulate all my fellow artists for the wonderful work you've done in this challenge, and many thanks to Paula for hosting with a collection of great landscape pictures, my favorite genre. Here is my last effort for the challenge and selected the ref. #3 " Road through the Forest", 9x12 pastel on Wallis. C & C most welcome.

Re: The Spotlight - March 2010
Wow, you all have done so many beautiful painting since I was away, good work all !!
I had already did the autumn seascape, but went back over it this morning and fixed some areas, and added some contrast to the sky, and a couple of birds. I think it looks better, what do you all think.
Paula, thanks for some great refs this month, this was really fun, I look forward to next months.
