Lucas - about to go to competition

"Lucas" is an oval oil on canvas painting. It still needs work on the hair and will have blades of grass in front. I will be putting this into a competition so I am hoping to get some critiques and suggestions here before it is done. Thanks in advance

Thank you for the kind words Mitch. I have since worked a little more on his shirt and hoping it has more movement now. I have posted in 2012, don't know why it is showing 2011. I am just getting started on my website so there isn't much there yet, and I still have to get the domain name registered, right now it is at www.inthewindcreations.weebly.com I appreciate your interest. This site (wetcanvas) is so wonderful for me because I'm in a small town and very isolated. It is wonderful to have people here to bounce things off of.

Lucas makes your viewers want to smile with him. To me, I get the feel of a 1940's era piece and it's lovely and extremely well done. Good luck and please let us know how it does in competition.
