fantasy moon

Here is something out of my sketch book I thought I would share. Its a rough water color painting of a moon with a star back ground.

Re: fantasy moon

I enjoy looking at this picture. The spattered style on the dark background wash really gives the look of dimensions in outer space filled with stars and galaxies far away.

Re: fantasy moon

Good watercolor work. I don't think I have yet managed to create cloud nuances like this yet without flower bloom or whatever those watercolor terms are. Gouache for white splatters?

Re: fantasy moon

I just dipped a tooth brush in white paint, and used the brush to flick the paint. It makes for a pretty cool star field.
