I finished this little 11×14 oil on panel back in September for a client as a gift for her husband. His father built the barn when he was a child.

Thank you, so much! I agree, some of the best paintings are simple, yet poignant subjects. Vermeer’s “The Girl with a Pearl Earring” comes to mind. Just a simple portrait without even a background and it is extremely beautiful.

Not that I’m anywhere close to the genius Vermeer! 😃
