First Post Landscape

HI everyone! I'm new to the forum, I usually hang out in the SW Forum, but I found a new medium to work in. Pan Pastels!! I watched countless videos, so I was pretty confident that I could handle them with ease, so I bought the full set of 80 colours. Here is my first landscape that I successfully completed. (I'm a portrait animal artist, so landscapes are not my thing)

I'm sure you won't see the last of me...
I'm hooked on these pans.

Welcome to the pastel forum! You may be new to pastels, but you are not new to art. You have handled the pans quite nicely.

Sheila, so happy to see you posted this here. It is gorgeous. Pastels are addictive.

Re: First Post Landscape

Wow 80 pastels, that sounds great and horrible expensive at the same time
But I agree pans are exciting and have wonderful shades of colors.
Your landscape looks nice, especially the color combination of the yellows and purples is beautiful. And the sky with its clouds also.
A good combination to the pans are pastel pencils for details.
I hope you will post more from your journey into the pans.
