1st Drawing Tablet - Huion Kamvas 22 vs XP-Pen Artist22E Pro 22

Hi,

Me and my friend have been looking into buying a Drawing Tablet, it’s been quite an extensive search but we think we’ve narrowed it down… yet we are both incompetent and can’t really decipher the difference between them – Other than the obvious 2 inch size difference.

I haven’t been able to find a Spec breakdown to compare the two – Nor would I fully understand it too if I am honest, so I was hoping people with experience here could give me a head up on the matter

A few differences I see:
Huion pen doesn’t need to be charged, the other one does but is supposed to last a very long time.
Huion colour gamut is 100%, xp-pen is 77 -82%. This is the range of colours displayed.
Huion viewing angle says this – 89°/89°(H)/89°/89°(V) (Typ.)(CR＞10), xp-pen says 178 degrees. Though while using it you will most likely be looking straight at it anyway.

This is the closest thing I could find to a comparison and these people seem to prefer the Huion.

Have you looked for any user reviews on each of them? Sometimes you can find more about any issues products may have that way.

You’re lucky there are many choices now for tablets with screens, not just a $2000 Cintiq lol.

These are little details which we were looking for I agree with you in regards to the viewing angle not being a problem too.

That’s the thing we’ve been looking into one for months on and on and the Cintq £2000+ price tag was very off putting. So the Huion looks like it might be more ideal.

I haven’t used those tablets but you should take a look at the iPad Pro and pencil

We’ve considered the iPad Pro * Tested it in store, I can see how it would be ideal for the portability aspect but we’re trying to avoid screens with OS built within them. As someone who has had a normal iPad for normal use, I know that after 3-4 years of the devices release the new Apps require the up to date iOS which eventually older devices cannot install.

I’ve been looking at the Huion 20 Pro more, which seems to have a glass screen but this person slams it by saying it has a large gap between the screen and LCD of the tablet. I liked the idea of the tablet having a glass screen to protect it – which wins this device over the XP-Pen one. But not if it sacrifices the drawing ability:

A lot of people keep mentioning another Huion GT221 PRO model. But upon looking at it I can see why it would be superior to the PRO 20, other than minor size difference but it is nearly £200 more… am I missing something very obvious here?

Also, I’ve heard a few reviewers mention about the tablets parallax – Which I gather means the space between the screen and the glass cover. Does this effective performance – Overall I’ve rather have a glass screen protecting it than jabbing the pen nib the actual monitor LEDs – Which I gather would be the case with the XP-PEN model?

xp-pen artist 22E Pro 77 -82% color gamut is Adobe RGB , equal to about 100% sRGB .

Huion colour gamut is 100% is talk about sRGB , this two is not same standard . you can have a search .

I bought a XP-Pen Artist 22E Pro Pen display drawing tablet last year and it has been a joy to use. it features of 21.5″ IPS Monitor , 1920 x 1080 (16:9) FHD resolution , 78% Adobe RGB color gamut . 8192 levels of pressure senstivity . I am a professional artist, and this lets me work much more efficiently. Even better, its fun to use.

I held off for nearly a decade on upgrading to a display tablet due to the massive cost of Wacom’s Cintiq display tablet. The XP-Pen display tablet is actually the same or cheaper than Wacom’s non-display Intuos Pro, while this tablet’s quality is absolutely comparable. This tablet is even inexpensive enough for art students, without a noticeable drop in quality.

This tablet has been great! I’ve had it for a while and have not been disappointed. I’m a 3D modeler and this has been working great for my needs! I love its use in Zbrush. It’s pressure sensitivity is fantastic and I like that the tablet only registers the pen. It does not register your touch.

After having tested this Artist 22E Pro drawing tablet monitor , I would recommend it to anyone with one exception.

Huion and XP-Pen are two budget drawing tablet brands, act as cheap wacom cintiq alternatives.

The two tablets are almost identical, I recommend you get XP-Pen Artist (2nd Gen) or Huion Kamvas 22 Plus. very good.

XP-pen Artist 22E pro have hotkeys while huion doesn’t have.

I recommend you get their newest model, like huion kamvas 22 plus or xp-pen artist 22R Pro display drawing tablet.
