Here is your painting, Jennie

Very interesting abstract. Well done, Jennie. It must have taken quite a while to paint too.

No failure here, Jennie - I find it mysterious and beautiful. It reflects the mood of the literary reference quite well. You can vaguely make out shapes, as the reference says, but it is still uncertain. Wonderful job!

I really like this palette, too. It all flows together nicely.

Thank you Christel. I didn't notice you'd done this and had some luck with posting today. It does my head in, but think it has to be my net speed. I'm in 'the bush' and has bad days.

Is is only 29 x 23cm, but has many layers. I worked on it over a couple of weeks, trying very hard to stick to particular sticks. Just couldn't do it. I am going tortuous again though.

Terriks, very well done on going so far out of your comfort zone with your non-rep abstract. It's ever so interesting, a lot going on. I really love how the black line starts off at the bottom left uniform, rigid, structured, then just breaks free to do its own organic dance up the page.

JenieJo, it's lovely and really does fit the quote! So mysterious, hinting at a lot more than is shown. Perfect!

Thanks, Sarah! And also thank you for hosting such an interesting challenge. I was unsure at the beginning of the month if I'd have ideas for anything, and ended up getting three paintings out of it!
