Clever Crow

9x12 mixed watermedia on Canson 140 lb cold press paper. Using a sheet that I put underneath other works supplied various abstract markings in acrylics, ink, and watercolor. I took the bird out of his natural environment and placed him here as if snatching morsels of food from his surroundings.
C&C welcome

Re: Clever Crow

Beautiful bird... I love these crows, they are so very intelligent. You have made him/her just perfect.

Re: Clever Crow

the white (?) square works so well, it performs miracles towards mood and story, abstracted.

Re: Clever Crow

wow this is great! So much movement in there, and the crafty eye of the crow!

I love the central square as it really pushes the crow forward, although I think the red splashes take a little bit of attention away from the subject.

Lovely, just the same though!
