Smile Drafting table / Drawing table hack

Hello everyone,

I would like to share a video with you that I made of boosting my Reeves mobile drawing board (or workstation it's sometimes called, I believe) into a fully functional drawing table with storage. I thought pehraps it is of help to you if you too are experiencing neck and shoulder pain when drawing on a flat surface.
I had a lot of that lately, but since my drawing board had become rickety I didn't use it a lot anymore. This summer I entered a drawing course that put me behind my drawing board way more hours and I really needed to sort something out since a proper drawing table didn't fit in my studio. So me and my husband DIY-ed a bit and I'm completely over the moon with the result. I thought the video could be of use to anyone who is looking for a solution for their slanted worktops.

This video that I include the link for is a lirtle longer. But I'll post a really short video later of how we made a little "stage" that holds my jar of ink level so that I can even ink on my drawing table!

Oh and...this is not an ad. In fact, we sawed a product we used for it in half...

Here's the link to my YouTube Video: https://youtu.be/iiuYAFsCMtU

Welcome to the forum Mandy.

I found your vertical video very frustrating, you should hold your camera horizontal for video. I work with my board much flatter for watercolours.

I really like the pencil holders and the magnet idea for holding refetence photos. It's nice you were able to adapt the existing board.
