Re: My little cowboy Ben!

Thank you Mark! It's an oldie but a goodie I guess! My Ben is now 26 yrs old, but he is still as cute as ever. Im very grateful for your compliment. I am thinking of doing some more impasto type works now due to positive feedback on this painting. Think I will give it another go, it's been a very long time =)) Cheers and have a great day. Debs. =))

Re: My little cowboy Ben!

I love this painting especially the eyes and deep colors! The first thing that strikes me is perhaps the need for darker shading on the sides of the heads and the most recessed places on the painting. It is beautiful!

Re: My little cowboy Ben!

Many thanks Saravanan and Brenda for your encouraging response! Yes, some extra shading would have improved the tonal balance of the portrait and added dimension, I agree and thank you for your kind words and advice! It is so good to be able to get feedback from artists of all different styles and skills, such a wonderful range of ideas and suggestions. I am very grateful for your taking time to view and critique. All advice is added to my list for future attempts. Cheers, good health and happiness always. =)) Debs
