This painting was made with Sennelier, Daniel Smith, and Schmincke brand watercolors on Arches Cold Press Watercolor paper. The main focus of this painting was for me to work better on lighting and depth. Hope you guys like it!Sadie Laine B.

I was going for a stark contrast of vibrant background to a muted figure but I suppose It needed a different approach. I didn’t intend anything sensual in the sleeping figure but that is an interesting perspective on it.

I thought the same thing as well after it was already done, My reference was in black and white at a high contrast so it was difficult to be able to tell if I was going to dark.
