Painting in a group

Hi All!
I'm authoring a new blog for painters who paint from life in Portland. When sessions are completed I go running around to get photos of the results and then put them up on the blog. I always thoroughly enjoy seeing artist's different versions of the same subject! Have a look...(and what about you...do you find it inspiring to paint with other people?)

Re: Painting in a group

This looks like great fun. I am always constantly surprised at how different people see the same subject. It's what makes art so interesting.

Good idea. I paint in a group too. Will consider proposing something like this. It must be great fun and inspiring. Thanks for sharing the idea .

I experienced painting in a group several times, and it always was so much fun!
Indeed I should repeat it- thank you for inspiring me!

Re: Painting in a group

I think what's even more fun than painting with people is painting collaboratively on the same painting(s).
Here's an example of 3 artists rotating 3 paintings until everybody has painted over each other.

I took up painting with others from the beginning of my "painting journey"...and I've been grateful for the experience. Thanks all....for checking out the Allaprima blog!

Re: Painting in a group

If you paint in a group I highly recommend doing a "results" post --it is enlightening and fun to see the different interpretations of the same subject!
