These are wonderful examples from a masterful portrait artist! You have brightened up my morning and given me inspiration!
Charcoal and pastel on colourfix paper?

Re: Recent life drawing portraits

Thanks for looking Bethany, Helen Connie and Loretta. I do love life drawing. I am still learning a lot. Bethany, I forgot to say that the last one is after night one and yes, it is pastel on Colorfix. The remainder are on Strathmore pastel paper which I like a lot. The charcoal drawings are on toned Strathmore pastel paper with white pastel applied for the lights.

Very good use of the values especially the first two works. Very realistic also.

Love these, especially the two in profile. Very elegant mark making. The little girls flesh is nicely rendered and her hair is super.

Re: Recent life drawing portraits

Thanks Harry, Moises, Allison, Armada and Ken. Allison, yes little Gigi was fun to draw with her phone and earbuds in (have yet to have a teen model who can put down their phone :-)). Ken, I so agree. Even though I sometimes feel I take one step forward and two back, I love life drawing SO MUCH.
