I'm delighted to report it's 73F glorious right now! I have the windows open and I'm lovin' it! Thanks to all of you for sending me some of your nice coolness. It is sooooooooooo refreshing.
I did a major sleep, so I'm feeling great and I'm ready to get some things done, like make some beads.

So glad some of the coolness made it down to you. Enjoy! Our temps are headed back up. Near 90 this weekend, but reasonable sleeping weather in the 60's, just right for sleeping and campfires!

Nothing much going on around here, Painting Brockers Rocker today. A nice beige to make a good base for the other stuff!

Time to go get my first cup of coffee. I think an omelete is on my morning todo list. Out of fruit and I am to lazy to run to the grocer this morning. I'll even sneak in some asparagus, tomatoes, cheese, shrooms to with the eggs!

Day one of school seemed to be putting out fires left and right, here a problem-there a problem. They seemed to be resolving by the day's end, so I am looking forward to a more relaxing day 2. The kiddos both had a good first day at school, came home happy and telling everything that happened. They are off to a good year.

It's a 60 degree good morning here. Cool mornings and warm afternoons are my idea of a good time.
Nothing special today. I've been melting glass lately so that will probably happen this afternoon.

Mornin' everyone. Some "kids" in the neighborhood did minor damage to my tomato plants. Most of the fruit are near ripe so I could care less but its the thought that counts.... .I have a friend named Karma...she can be a sweetheart or an evil b*(&# h !

Yesterday afternoon I received a refund from a company that I had been arguing with since spring time. They were starting to be real A-holes so I threatened legal action last Friday. The refund will cover my glass order that I placed with Howaco yesterday! I keep forgetting about Jamey's pricing...sometimes her regular prices are better than Mike's. So hopefully I'll have about another 8 lbs of glass to label and put away by the end of the week

25 new pendants that need bales on today.... and another 20 to cut out. Think I'm set in the fused pendants for a while.

Dilly sounds like a nice simple day you have planned there. Nothing rushed or stressed. Where do you find days like that?

Beth good to hear that the kids liked their first day. Always best when they start off happy.

Duane yep you have to wonder about some people. You are right about it coming back to them.

Leslie have fun with the pendants. Can't wait to see them in the showcase.

Off to work for a while and then finish up the plumbing work on my parents one bathroom. Hopefully we will be able to set the tile in the floor as well.

I have 5 or 6 tomatoes that are still safe on one of the plants. They are seriously the size of grapefruits but flatter. They're about 1/2 ripe right now.

Leslie I haven't had a BLT in YEARS!

BLT's are the best! We only have them in August, went we can eat them within 10 minutes of picking the tomatoes from the garden. There's nothin' better!

I'm not sure what's on my to-do list today. I should work on ordering the rest of my school books for the kids, but I might just take a day & read a book, melt some glass & sit outside in the sunshine for awhile. I think a day off before school starts is definitely in order...

Carlos......you find days like that at around 62 years of age, your kids are raised and married, your spouse has stuff that keeps them busy and out of your way It's a goal!!!!

Janie.....I forgot to list reading, that's always at the top of mine. So I will be joining you. Even though I have hundreds of books around me, the ones I read are on my smartphone from the library! That way they are always close and I can catch a few pages whenever I want! Enjoy your day and relax, school is sneaking up on you!

I got the paint and some water chestnuts at the store. Isn't that a varied shopping list!! LOL OK, stirfry chicken and rice for lunch! Gotta get that bokchoy, spinach and the rest of the asparagus cooked!
