Kathy, many thanks. This was exactly what I had hoped for. Especially the mentioning of the pencils used. I am anxiously waiting for the continuation. Obviously you did not start with a complementary colour underdrawing. Interesting.

Working around eyes with CD (caran d'ache) beige and brownish beige, T (trogitan) Fawn. Built up more layers on his left ear. Using the black and white reference photo a lot to try to establish correct values.

I have a cutout piece of dur-alar protecting the background from smudges.

Help! Every time I post a new photo, all the previous ones change to the latest. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I've gone in and cleared my cache in between but it still did it. I'm doing this from my ipad, so that may be the problem. Any suggestions?

Just read something that might be why you are having the problems you are.

If you use the same file name on the same day, it overwrites the first download

Try renaming your files (if they are the same name when being uploaded)
Not sure that will help but thought I'd let you know what I just read!

I didn't keep track of my colours, but will add a photo of the pencils I was using at the next level . Here I was starting to work on the one eye, that's why it looks so much bigger than the other.

Worked on mouth also. Teeth have a lot of different blues and pinks.

Peggy has it right. All images uploaded on the same day with the same name (like Image.JPG) will be treated as the same image. So the WC software will replace the previous image with the new one. Each image needs a unique name (Image1.JPG Image2.JPG etc.) so WC understands they're different.

And, from what I understand (I don't have an ipad, so no first-hand knowledge), renaming pics on the ipad is difficult/impossible. sooo... If you have access to a laptop or desktop machine, that may be the best way for you to share multiple images. Wish I had a better work-around for you.

Anyone who *does* have an ipad and has found a good work-around, hope you'll share it with Kathy!

Here are the colours that I had used mostly. You can probably zoom in and see what they are. They're numbered by value range. (that's a tip from Ann Kullbergs book)
