I thought mine was done, but I thought of a change to make that made it better. Thank heaven for battery erasers. It is kinda gross, but so are a lot of nursery rhymes

Hmm, a gross nursery rhyme relating to nature. No idea but we still have lots of time to guess.

Mine is done. It went surprisingly fast, my digital paintings usually take so long. I have it on my desktop now, the digital equivalent of leaving it on the easel.

"Jack and Jill went up the hill...Jack fell down and broke his crown..." Not that that one is mine.

Well yes nudity in art is expected on an art board and you can put a butt icon on your own thread..

BUT

A group project is everyone's thread so if a project host or participating members prefer not to have nudes on a multiple member thread then that is their option.

Be sure to always read through the rules of whatever project you're participating in.

I did a speech on Nursery Rhymes in school back in the day. Made it to the Ontario finals and won a trophy. Woohoo.

The origins of those rhymes and stories are very interesting to me. When I lived in Europe, I went on a Grimm tour thing, that was fascinating. We had to hike quite a bit, that part of Germany is pretty mountainous. I loved it.

I always read the rules of the projects and still manage to put a pretty girl in there somewhere....somehow. So far nobody's complained on the past group projects. But if there is some sort of backlash to my work, then the person in charge can remove it and send me a message that it has been done. I won't fly off the handle or anything because I'm not that in love with my stuff....

Re: May Fantasy and Sci-Fi Art Monthly Challenge and Chat! May 2018

My parents never read to me, including nursery rhymes, so dating Bill has been a real eye-opener (not literally). I'll never forget the first time I heard him quote one. We had just gotten home from Dallas ona shopping trip, and as we pulled into the garage, he said, (with a sigh) "Home again, home again, jiggity jog."
I was half asleep and I asked lovingly, "What in the Hell was that crap?" He then explained, and gave me a copy of The Annotated Mother Goose . Neve knew what I had been missing.

I'm in love with your stuff, especially your monsters, I love B movie monsters.

Susie, my husband was the same, which is funny because he was born in the same region as the Grimm Brothers were!

I love Woody's stuff, too. Especially the monsters.

Virginia, nobody ever told me that "nursery rhymes" were so clever, especially when you know the history behind them. I am a history buff. I love quoting "Georgie Porgie" to guys who hit on girls at parties and get curved.

Here's a good one for history.

Ring-a-round the rosie,
A pocket full of posies,
Ashes! Ashes!
We all fall down

Such a cheerful little tune?

And "Georgie Porgy" is about the Prince Regent, later George IV,
