Re: Copperhead W.I.P.

Thanks Folks!!!

I started blocking in color, so they can see the concept a little better.
They know my work VERY well so I don't really need to do a good job on this.
It's just an overall look at the design and colors so I can get a go ahead.

Re: Copperhead W.I.P.

I guess I should explain this piece a little more.

This is not a white board. It's Prismacolor on Bristol Vellum & just a sample of color and composition.

Right now I only have 4 rows of scales There will be about a dozen.
The head is too low I don't want to have to cast a shadow on the lettering so his head position will lift up some.
He will be a little fatter and the tail will be corrected for size.

I could go on & on.....

Oh and it will be done on a Black board.

Here's an earlier poster with a Copperhead.

Re: Copperhead W.I.P.

I will keep a close eye on this for sure. Going to look slick. I would rather deal with a rattlensnake than a copperhead anyday. They are always looking for a fight. I think I have one in the freezer. You need it for reference? All you have to do is wet it and it will look alive. It will take along time to thaw as well, then just put it back in freezer for next time. I'm actually being totally serious. Let me know.
