Re: Buccaneer

Thanks Doug. This is one of a series I was asked to do for a chap who lives in the Dunkeld /Blairgowrie area. Each one is an actual occurrence. He supplied photos of the site and details of the a/c I will post the rest at the regulation intervals.

Well caught Jim - Looking forward to the rest appearing - photo-ing low level jets from hillsides was a hobby of mine which I miss . Unfortunately only took it up in the late 90's when the Buccs were gone and never had the opportunity to catch one . They would have been up and down the A9 pretty regular .

These pics are because the guy didn’t have a camera with him, so I was asked to recreate them. They are more landscape with Aircraft, than Aircraft, but that’s what he wanted . Two Typhoons, a Tornado, a Lynx, a Scout and a Universal Carrier! To follow.

Re: Buccaneer

Fully understand that - the photos I took were never great aircraft shots but gave me a basis for much the same - landscapes with aircraft in my paintings . Call it an obsession but I like to portray real locations in the composition .
