Re: Scavenger Hunt #572, Jan 12- Jan 20

Normally Thai garlands are intended to be used around 7 days, then getting discarded. However, I bought this fancy garland from the wholesale flower market since new year, intending to paint or sketch it. Time passed as I am way too busy, I open its bag from my fridge, and decide to sketch it tonight before throwing it away as it is on the decaying trend...

#3 old/keepsake ...my old Thai jasmine garland.

And here is the photo of the real tiny dinosaur eraser collection.

Ai, thanks. Oh, the garland is so neat. You did a great job on the capture of it.

I played in watercolor today, about 8 x 10 inches. I was trying the blowing with a straw but didn't have it wet enough or enough paint, something. I will try again. Ha.

Number 5, broom

Jo - Thanks. The transit museum was very crowded with lots of kids running around. My friends were amazed that I was able to sit there calmly in the middle of all of it and keep sketching. I was a NYC teacher...I can ignore almost anything. lol Lovely watercolor of the broom....so texural!!! I like your bag of ellipses that you can carry with you to that chair to sit and snack.

Ai - Thank you. Looks like a lovely, peaceful spot to walk and calm yourself before work. Pretty garland.

Robin - Thanks so much.

Paul - Thanks. That looks like a nice comfy corner of the room. I see the red candle.

Number 9 - Good sketches of your items. I especially like the shading on the onion.

A few weeks ago a company sent me some of their art materials to try and then send feedback to them about the products. Today I used a set of fountain pens with colored, water-soluble inks. They were fun!
5 - up above (birds)
6 - textured grasses
7 - corner of the yacht club

Re: Scavenger Hunt #572, Jan 12- Jan 20

...thanks for the new list Jo, and that apple and hand is really good. Neat bag of oranges and lovely furniture. Lovely hairy broom...
Ai, love the tiny dinosaurs, such cute erasers. That leafy landscape looks just the place to stroll and relax. The garland looks beautiful, great sketch object...
Robin, good pen work on the nuts and broom, and the sofa, looks well comfy...
Joan, beautiful landscape with birds, and love that trolley and turnstile. Love the vibrant colours in those last two watercolours, lovely playing with new arty materials...
Paul, that corner looks well comfy, and that red candle nearly escaped me, well done on all...
Number9, well done on the onion and jar, the drill is cool, a difficult item to choose, it's also one little tool I've been promising myself for ages, but there's always something more important on the list...

1 something from kitchen...egg timer colour changer...
2 palm ...my hand, done with my non dominant hand...
